<p>1. A machine for removing from moulds products such as hams which have been compressed each into the tub (3, 13) of a mould (1, 11) by the cover (2, 12) of the said mould, the said cover being engaged in the opening in the tub (3, 13) and being added detachably to the tub (3, 13) thanks to at least one crossbar (5, 15) mounted to be able to move along two small columns (4, 14) on the cover (2, 12) and separated from the latter by resilient means (6, 16), each crossbar (5, 15) carrying two rack closure arms (7, 17) each of which is hinged onto one end of the crossbar (5, 15) and becomes hooked by one of the teeth on the rack under the outer rim (8, 18) of the tub (3, 13), which surrounds the opening in the latter, the said machine comprising a frame (21) supporting in the first place a cover extractor device (2, 12), this extractor device including in turn an unhooking mechanism (37, 32, 33) for unhooking the rack closure arms (7, 17) from the rim (8, 18) of the tub (3, 13) and a mechanism (42, 47, 43, 52, 54) for removal of the cover (2, 12) by gripping the crossbar or crossbars (5, 15) and in the second place a device proper (56, 58) for removal from the mould and discharge of the products, each closed and loaded mould (1, 11) being introduced in parallel with the direction of a crossbar (5, 15) and right side up into a chute (24) in the machine, the said chute having a substantially U-shaped cross-section open upwards and exhibiting reentrant rims (28) suitable for retaining the tub (3, 13) of the mould (1, 11) by its outer rim (8, 18) when its cover (2, 12) is removed by the extractor device, the product being then brought out of the tub (3, 13) by the device (56, 58) for removal from the mould, which comprises a nozzle (58) moved by at least one manipulator member (56), characterized in that the said nozzle is a suction nozzle which may be moved so that for each mould dealt with, the said nozzle (58) is successively lowered into contact with the product in the opening in the tub (3, 13) and then after having been put into communication with a source of reduced pressure, is raised until the product has been extracted completely from the tub (3, 13) and finally is translated sideways with respect to the chute (24) until coming above a conveyor (62) for discharge of the products, onto which the product is unloaded, and then the said nozzle (58) is brought back into its starting position.</p> |
