<p>PURPOSE:To strengthen a swirl as aim at the promotion of cooling effectiveness in an exhaust valve and a spark plug, by making a distance ranging from a suction valve of a central cylinder to each suction valve of cylinders at both sides of the former differ each other, while setting up those of suction valve, spark plug and exhaust valve in the direction of a suction swirl stream at the side of a combustion chamber, in regular order. CONSTITUTION:Since a passage 9 is branched off into two symmetrical suction passages G3 and G2 centering on a straight line X, suction air flows equally in both these suction passages G3 and G2, producing such a swirl as having the same speed at each of cylinders C3 and C2. The suction air being entered in a suction passage G1 comes to the minimum in its pipe resistance and is made equal in flow volume to that of other cylinders C3 and C2 since a pipe line ranging from the suction passage G1 to a suction port IP1 is so constituted as to be a rectilinear form or an almost uncurved form.</p> |
