PURPOSE:To restrain knocking by applying delay angle control corresponding to the size of the knocking to the advance angle property set to the advance angle side in an ignition device giving phase difference angle to the ignition timing of a plurality of ignition plugs in a rotary engine. CONSTITUTION:When knocking occurs in an internal-combustion engine, knocking signal overlapped on the combustion signal of a knock sensor 20 is detected and generated. The detected output is sent to the input of a knocking detector 21 and only the knocking signal is selectively detected so that delay angle control voltage corresponding to the size of said signal is generated. A phase shifter 12 generates ingnition pulse which has the phase shifted from ignition pulse generated by a wave from shaping circuit 10 to the delay angle side by an angle alpha proportional to the delay angle control voltage from the knocking detector 21 and is sent to the input of a switching circuit 13. Thus, since this ignition pulse sends or stop current to an ignition coil 15 through a circuit 13, the phase of period of stopping current to the ignition coil 15 is shifted to the delay angle side by the angle alpha and the phase of spark of an ignition plug 4 is shifted by the angle alpha. |
