PURPOSE:To eliminate a crack in the boundary between a spacer and a coil by increasing the density of a felt inserted between coil ends. CONSTITUTION:Spacers made of a felt having 150-300g/cm<2> of weight per unit thickness of 1mm. and impregnated with thermally curable resin are inserted between adjacent ends of a coil inserted into a core slot of a rotary electric machine in the state that the resin is impregnated in advance and polymerized and cured. The resin is heated and cured in this state to integrate the coil end and the spacer. The impregnating resin amount can be reduced in the amount corresponding to the increased density of the felt inserted to the coil ends, thereby reducing the curing shrinking amount of the resin. |
