PURPOSE:To restrain the increase in the quantity used of the recording media by recording a wide band signal of the TV signal with a analog and by recording a narrow band signal with a digital and by correcting a time base of the analog signal with a clock signal from the digital signal at the time of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal Y, color difference signals R-Y and B-Y and horizontal synchronizing signal HD are respectively inputted to a horizontal synchronizing substitute circuit 17, line sequential conversion circuit 16 and clock occurrence circuit 19. A circuit 19 generates a clock signal CK and a digital horizontal synchronizing signal HD' synchronized to a signal HD. At the circuit 17, the horizontal synchronizing signal of the signal Y is substituted to a signal HD', and the output is modulated 14 for frequency, is amplified 17, and is recorded through heads 3 and 5 to the tape. At the circuit 16, the color difference signal is converted to a line sequential signal. After that, the signal is A/D-converted 20, the signal HD' and a parity bit are added 21, are modulated 40, are amplified 22 and are supplied to heads 4 and 6, based upon a signal CK. At the repdoduction, for the demodulated 26 luminance signal, the time base change is removed with a clock extracted 32 from a digital color difference signal demodulated 30 with the memory 34. |
