PURPOSE:To allow the lubricating oil, tending to press a friction plate, to be relieved to a peripheral side of the friction plate, by providing an oil relief hole, extended through the friction plate, in at least a part of the friction plate. CONSTITUTION:An output-side friction plate 9b provides an oil hole 33, and a plurality of the oil holes 33 are provided spacing a distance in the peripheral direction to an internal peripheral part of each friction plate 9b. The oil hole 33 is extended through a core material 23 and both facings 22 and opened to friction faces in both sides, and clearances 35, 36 in both sides of the friction plate 9b are communicated with each other through the oil hole 33. Then lubricating oil flowing into the clearance 35 is allowed to promptly flow out from the oil hole 33 to the clearance 36, never pressing the friction plates 9a, 9b in a direction forcing them to come into contact with each other by the lubricating oil in the clearance 35 receiving centrifugal force. While the friction plates 9a, 9b are never forced to be brought into contact by strong force when a clutch is disengaged. In this way, a loss of power can be substantially reduced in the reverse clutch when the forward clutch is connected. |
