PURPOSE:To obtain a titled panel which has a large display area and a uniform luminance by forming a spacer by performing an etching to a uniform insulating layer formed on an electrode forming surface of a front substrate, pressing a flexible rear substrate against this spacer, making it adhere tightly, and molding it by a synthetic resin from the back. CONSTITUTION:An insulating layer 11 of a uniform thickness is formed by applying an insulating material consisting of a metallic oxide or a synthetic resin onto an electrode forming surface of a front substrate 10 on which plural front electrodes 9 are formed. Subsequently, etching is executed to the insulating layer 11, and a spacer 12 is formed on a part except a display dot part. Next, when an electrode forming surface of a flexible rear substrate 14 on which a rear electrode 13 is formed is opposed to the electrode forming surface of the front substrate 10, and also the rear substrate 14 is pressed against the front substrate 10 side so that the front electrode 9 and the rear electrode 10 cross each other, it can be made to adhere tightly to each spacer 12, and a uniform gap part is formed between both the substrates 10, 14. Therefore, it is molded by a synthetic resin 15 from the back of the rear substrate 14. In this way, a uniform gap quantity can be kept extending over the whole surface of both the substrates, it is unnecessary to polish the substrate, and a liquid crystal display panel of a large display picture can be manufactured at a low cost. |
