Fungicidally active novel hydroxyethylazolyl-oxime derivatives of the formula in which Ar is optionally substituted aryl, R1 is hydrogen or alkyl, R2 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted aralkyl or optionally substituted cycloalkylalkyl, and X is a nitrogen atom or the CH group, and addition products thereof with acids and metal salts.
