Process for applying a layer of ion-exchange resin as electrolyte layer in an electrochromic device

A piece of a film of ion-exchange resin is cut out to the required size with the aid of a punch and a die and is mounted as electrolyte layer in an electrochromic device. A piece of the film is cut out to the required size by the curved head of the punch and is pressed onto its position in the device. A second elastic punch can be used for pressing the piece against its carrier in the device.
