Its hollow drive gear 9 meshes with the internal teeth 8 of a tubular wheel 4 whose external teeth 10 engage with the internal teeth of a ring gear keyed on the secondary shaft 13 of the reduction gear. The said tubular wheel 4 is guided by at least one internal roller 19 mounted to rotate freely on a spindle 20 carried by the casing 1 and by two external rollers 18, 19 which roll on a peripheral track 16 of the wheel 4. The latter faces the teeth 8 whilst the track 21 is in line with the teeth 10. The rollers carry beads 19a penetrating the corresponding grooves of the tracks in order to hold the tubular wheel 4 longitudinally. Reduction gear for an electric starter. <IMAGE>
