A rubber composition is composed of SBR or natural rubber and the precipitated silica having following physico-chemical properties; BET surface area: 190-340 m2/g; CTAB surface area: 180-280 m2/g; ratio of BET to CTAB surface area; 0.7-1.2; residual sodium content: less than 500 ppm; pH: 3.5-6; specific volume, Vo: not less than 4.2 cm3/g; and the fraction of particles remaining on the 45-micron wire mesh: less than 0.05%. The organic silicon composition additive is organic polysiloxane, which has a linearchained, branched, or cross-linked structure.
