The subject of the present invention is an interferometric detector with selective modulation, intended for the specific detection and/or identification of at least one gas in a gaseous mixture, in particular with a view to analysis and/or determination operations, comprising a light source S1 whose beam passes in succession through a focusing objective O1, a gas container G1, an interferential filter F1 capable of isolating the complete band specific to absorption by the gas to be identified, an interferometry and modulation assembly I, before reaching a detection cell. It is characterised in that the said assembly I consists of a Fabry-Pérot interferometer, at least one of whose plates 10, 11 is mounted on piezoelectric ceramics 15 subjected to an electrical modulation voltage. <IMAGE>
