The large slab, for paving roads, paths or outdoor squares is made up from concrete or similar paving stones, and has narrower sections at the joints between these, to form fracture points. Large in area, the slabs are mechanically laid, and provide a paving stone effect overall finish. Groups of paving stones are joined together as an undetachable slab unit, and groups of such units are detachably joined together at fracture points. The units can have grooves as apparent joint gaps between their paving stones. Hexagonal stones are suitable, three to a unit and large slabs, with a pleasing aesthetic effect, are easily produced, and can be evenly laid without difficulty.
|
