The two wiper arms (16,18) are driven by thrust levers (28,30) from two cranks (36,42) on the same drive shaft (38) of the reduction gearing. One of the drive shafts is linked to the reduction gearing by three levers forming a triangle (48) with one corner (50) pivoted on a fixed support, one corner linked to the crank and one corner linked to the thrust rod. The relative angles of the triangle of levers is adjustable on some or all the levers. The shape of the triangle is locked by bolts at each corner.
