Hygrometric probe, in particular for windscreen wiper control device for a vehicle in which the probe comprises two electrodes fixed to an insulating plate and which are connected to a circuit for detecting the variations in ohmic resistance of the probe as a function of the degree of external moisture of the vehicle, the said circuit controlling the means for actuating the windscreen wiper mechanism. One of the electrodes 11 of the probe has the form of a closed external conducting track connected to one of the input terminals of the circuit and the other electrode 12 consists of a central conducting track disposed inside the closed conducting track 11 and connected to the other input terminal of the circuit. The invention is used for controlling the windscreen wipers of vehicles. <IMAGE>
