PURPOSE:To illuminate uniformly an original to be copied by providing a housing, whose inside face is a reflective face and lower corner parts are formed to spherical faces, under a platen and multireflecting the light on the inside face of the housing with a flash lamp and a reflective member. CONSTITUTION:A box-shaped housing 3 which is opened under a platen 1 on which an original 2 is placed is provided, and, for example, 4 flash lamps 4 are provided in individual corner parts in the inside bottom part of the housing 3, and reflective members 5 are attached to these flash lamps 4. The light emitted from each flash lamp 4 is not directly irradiated to the original surface but is dispersed by the reflective member 5 and is multireflected between the inside face of the housing 3 and the original 2 to generate a uniform illuminance in the housing 3. The original 2 on the platen 1 is illuminated by this light, and therefore, uniform flash exposure is performed without a lack of the quantity of light in the peripheral part. |
