PURPOSE:To pickup a clear image and to detect the break of a filter or the like to prevent previously a danger by controlling the operation of a flash in accordance with the detection signal of a detector of visible rays leaked from a filter which is arranged to face a light source. CONSTITUTION:A lens 3 is provided in the front of an image pickup device 2 which picks up the image of an object 1 with invisible rays including visible rays, and the lens 3 condenses the reflected light from the object 1, and a control means 4 controls the aperture of the lens 3. An illuminance measurer 5 is provided in the same position as the object 1 and measures brightness near the object 1, and an illuminating means 6 illuminates the object 1 as required. On a basis of measured data of the measurer 5, the aperture of the lens is controlled by the control means 4. |
