The invention relates to a method and a device for packaging fibre flock into bales according to German Patent Application P 3248712. The amount of fibre flock transported per clearing movement is regulated by adjustment of the shape of the clearing device which controls the pushing movement. Such measures make it possible to reduce the deviation in bale weights to values of less than +/- 1 kg per bale.
