PURPOSE:To join a sensor line to a light shielding film in one body to make a moving mechanism unnecessary by providing an original detecting means in the front end of the light shielding film and printing directly its power line and signal line on the light shielding film. CONSTITUTION:With respect to each of light shielding films 2 and 4, flexible plastics 45 are used as the substrate, and patterns of a power line 46, a signal line 47, and an earth line 48 are printed on the surface by etching, and a film 49 is covered on them to protect them. Since the power line and the signal line are joined to the light shielding film into one body, conventional difficulties in dealing with exposed wires, cables, etc. are eliminated, and the reliability is high. When an original 14 is placed on a prescribed position of a platen glass 2 and a copy start button is depressed, motors 21 and 31 are driven to lead out light shielding films 3 and 4, and they are stopped when optical sensors 41 and 42 detect the end part of the original. Rotation numbers of motors at this time are read by a rotary encoder to calculate longitudinal and transverse sizes of the original, and the original size is detected, and the quantity of the reflected light from the surface of the original is discriminated by the outputs of optical sensors to detect the density of the original. |
