The unsinkable rigid raft has multiple sealed compartments which allow variation in the draught. It has a central section containing internal slide housings which move telescopically. When the slide sections are extended, the central section defines a flotation volume. The ends of the slides have an inflatable sealing envelope which is fitted via a one way valve to occupy the central volume. - The ends of the central section can have elastomeric lining strips for connection to the slides.
