PURPOSE:To maintain safety combustion state by opening/closing upper/lower shutters with time difference respectively through drive motor in solid fuel feeding process to a solid fuel combustor, thereby eliminating such state as the combustion environment will communucate with the atmospheric environment. CONSTITUTION:A fuel feed pipe 21 provided with first and second shutters 22, 23 slidable laterally at the opposite ends is secured to the leading edge of a fuel throw-in tube 17 provided continuously with a combustor 16 employing solid fuel. Drive shafts 24, 25 are secured through fixed boss 26, 27 respectively to each shutter 22, 23 and made slidable axially by means of motors 28, 29 provided in the center. While limit switches 30, 31 and 33, 34 for determining the open/ close position of each shutter 22, 23 are provided at the other end of each drive shaft 24, 25. Then each motor 28, 29 is driven to open/close said shutters 22, 23 alternatively with predetermined time interval. |
