In a rock anchor with a connection plate, which is provided for the connection of at least one load chain and has essentially parallel lobes, provided with aligned recesses for a chain stud, and a web connecting these lobes and having a recess for the anchor rod end which projects from the anchor bore and whose threaded section is provided for a screw-on nut and an anchor plate to be restrained with the nut, the connection plate, according to the invention, is screwed onto the thread end of the anchor rod by means of an internal thread made in the recess and encloses with its lobes an end stem of the anchor rod which serves to rotate the anchor rod for adhesively bonding it to the rock with slipped-on anchor plate as well as screwed-on nut and screwed-on connection plate without chain studs while the connection plate is carried along with the rotation of the anchor rod.
