The trigger lever is coupled at different fulcrums during different phases of motion. The trigger lever has at its lower end a slotted guide which permits both a pulling up and also a pivoting of the trigger lever. During the first phase of motion, the trigger lever pivots about its upper fulcrum and thus actuates a control valve with a large lever arm arranged in its vicinity. In a subsequent second phase of motion, the pistol handle pivots about the lower fulcrum.
