<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a composite new material, by a method wherein after vulcanized rubber formation such as the tread of a waste tire has been granulated a molecular chain is torn off by grinding the same by applying to an attriator along with cooling water and mechanochemical reaction is made to generate between the crushed waste tire and an identical quantity of natural or synthetic rubber well-kneaded separately. CONSTITUTION:Vulcanized rubber such as the tread rubber of a waste tire is granulated by a twin-roll mill or a crusher. Then its molecular chain is torn off by grinding the same by applying to a gap of two sheets of hard and wearproof attrition rotary plates provided in an overlapped state by narrowing the gap. The material come out is sent to a three-roll dehydrator through a stream. The material is supplied to rolls after separation from water and turned into a platelike state through heating and pressing. Then mechanochemical reaction is generated between the above material and natural or synthetic rubber well-kneaded separately which is to be loaded to the above material for kneading. In addition to the above, after the kneading has been kept on by loading processing ingredients such as a very small quantity of a heating agent, a valcanizing auxiliary and a reinforcing agent, crosslinking molding is done by heating and a composite new material is obtained.</p> |
