PURPOSE:To conserve fuel by preventing the lowering in the temp. of a holding furnace, by holding the internal pressure of the holding furnace to positive pressure by blowing gas into the flue between the holding furnace and a damper at the heat holding time of said furnace. CONSTITUTION:The damper 2 provided to a flue 16 for controlling the internal pressure of a holding furnace 8 is closed completely to hold the heat of said furnace 8. In this case, gas is charged into the flue 16 between the furnace 8 and the damper 2 through an arranged pipe 20 and the internal pressure of the furnace 8 is held to positive pressure. By this method, the penetration of air into the furnace 8 and the lowering in the temp. of the furnace is prevented at the time of holding heat. |
