Wheel-chair traction device

The invention relates to a wheel-chair traction device as described in detail in Patent Application P 3200157.6 and represents an additional patent application to Patent Application: P 3301408.6. In practice it has been found that it is not just the wheel-chair occupant himself who wants to operate the traction device but also, at least at times, a person accompanying him. However, the accompanying person walks beside the wheel-chair and would have to bend down low to one side in order to operate the steering linkage of the traction device which, after all, is normally located between the traction device and the wheel-chair. It is the object of the invention to displace the steering linkage of the frame to one side to such an extent that it can comfortably be operated by the accompanying person walking beside the wheel-chair. This object is achieved by the invention in that the whole traction device is displaced toward the side in the travelling direction relative to the wheel-chair, in that the connecting rod which consists, for example, of a rigid pipe, between the traction device and the wheel-chair is located off-centre on one side and has a connection element which can selectively be coupled on a frame component, for example of tubular shape, to the right of the wheel-chair or on such a frame component to the left of the wheel-chair.
