Low-phosphate and phosphate-free detergents which contain not more than 5% by weight of phosphorus in the form of phosphate or polyphosphate and 25 to 50% by weight of microcrystalline sodium aluminium silicates of the zeolite A type contain 0.3 to 6% by weight of a mixture, which acts as soil inhibitor, composed of (a) 1 part by weight of methylcellulose with 1.5 to 2.2 methyl groups per anhydroglucose unit, (b) 1.5 to 4 parts by weight of carboxymethylcellulose with 0.5 to 0.9 carboxymethyl ether groups per anhydroglucose unit in the form of the Na or K salt and (c) 3 to 10 parts by weight of copolymers of (meth)acrylic acid and maleic acid as Na or K salt. |
