PURPOSE:To improve the response characteristic of disc access by transferring data from an optional sector of a track in transferring data for one track's share to a disc cache. CONSTITUTION:A signal read from a disc drive device is arranged to a parallel signal, checked by a microprocessor 100 and a sector number is fetched to a register 220 when the track is an excellent track. When the data for one sector's share is finished, the data of a buffer 190 is transferred to a disc cache 40, where the contents of the register 220, i.e., a head sector number to be transferred is transferred to the disc cache 40 ahead the data transfer. Thus, the disc cache can decide from which location of the buffer the succeeding data is stored. Then the data is transferred from an optional sector of the track, the turning waiting time is minimized and the response characteristic of the disc access is improved. |
