发明名称 Optische Abtastvorrichtung insbesondere fuer die Faksimile-Nachrichtenuebertragung
摘要 1,258,444. Facsimile apparatus. XEROX CORP. 4 Feb., 1969 [5 Feb., 1968], No. 5916/69. Heading H4F. A facsimile transceiver which utilizes the same optical path for both scanning and writing operations, comprises an arc lamp 10, Fig. 1, lenses 12 and 18, aperture mirror 14 (or beam splitter, Fig. 2, not shown), a rotating reflective prism 20, an aperture 24 and a photo-detector 26. To scan a document 22, the light passes via aperture 16 in mirror 14 and is line scanned across the document by means of rotating prism 20, the document being linearly moved. The reflected and modulated light from the document is reflected by prism 20 through lens 18 on to mirror 14 which reflects it via aperture 24 on to detector 26. In its printing mode the intensity of lamp 10 is modulated by a received video signal, and the modulated light is scanned by prism 20 over photo-sensitive material which replaces document 22, e.g. a xerographic drum or zinc oxide paper. In Fig. 1 (and in Fig. 2, not shown, which utilizes a beam splitter, e.g. a two-way mirror) only 25% of the light from the lamp scans the document and photo-sensitive material. By displacing mirror 14 towards lens 12 when the transceiver is in its printing mode, 50% of the light from the lamp scans the photosensitive material, Fig. 3 (not shown).
