PURPOSE:To provide an economical can crusher of simple construction which can crush empty cans one by one by operating a foot lever provided with a pressing plate for the purpose of crushing cans by treading and further providing a can feed plate which operates in linkage with the foot lever. CONSTITUTION:One end of an L shaped part of a foot lever 3 is attached pivotally to a supporting plate 1 by means of a fulcrum shaft 4, and the lever 3 is held open by means of a return spring 7 and a stopper 8. A foot plate 6 is provided at the other end of said lever. A can feed plate 18 having an accepting part 18a is fixed to a link lever 19 via a shaft 17, and is moved cooperatively with said lever 3 via engaging pins 20a, 20b to feed empty cans 26 guided and dropped by a chute 21 from a hopper (not shown in figure) one by one to the lower part of a can stopper 18. The cans 26 are held in place and crushed between a pressing plate 5 mounted to the lever 3 and a pressure receiving plate 9 mounted to the supporting plate 1 in the lower part of a can stopper 11. The crushed cans fall onto a discharge plate 12. |
