PURPOSE:To prevent mis-recognition for a data as an erroneous data in case the synchronism between a reading frequency and the recording data are incomplete by inhibiting the operation of a defective discriminating means before prescribed time required for adjustment of the reading frequency. CONSTITUTION:When the operation of a mark detection circuit is delayed for example, while a format on a stripe is normal, its output signal rises through the burst detection of a burst detection circuit 1, then a command of high gain operation is outputted from a reproducing data control circuit 6 to a VFO circuit 2 at that point of time, an inhibiting circuit 8 is activated and a de-mark pattern recognition circuit 7 is inhibited for the operation. Thus, if the reading frequency and the recorded data are not completely synchronized, the recorded data is prevented from being mis-recognized as a defective discrimination pattern. |
