发明名称 THERMAL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal cell which produces that heat and generates electric power with high reliability owing to an igniter by which flare is produced when impact force is applied to it by using a sealing glass terminal which works both as an impact core and as a sealing member. CONSTITUTION:A sealing glass terminal 7 consists of an outer metallic ring 7a, a glass member 7b and an impact core bar 7c. A monitor guide 8 causes the core bar 7c to strike the center of an impact-type ingniter 1. The flare produced by the igniter 1 is introduced through a fire introduction hole 9. The sealing glass terminal 7 is fused to an exterior lid 5 by welding, soldering or similar means. A metallic fixture 4 in which the igniter 1 is placed and the exterior lid 5 are also unified, thereby making an impact-type ignition device (A). When impact force is applied to the device (A) in the direction indicated by arrow (F), the core bar 7c is pushed and vigorously strike the igniter 1 which then produces flare. The thus produced flare is then introduced into the fire introduction hole 15 of th stacked body through the fire introduction hole 9 to cause the heating agent 11 of each layer to catch fire successively, thereby increasing the temperature of the entire thermal cell and melting the electrolyte layer.
