PURPOSE:To attain correct position control by allowing a read servo head to write servo information to read accurately the servo information without causing a shift or the like of an azimuth angle at read. CONSTITUTION:When assembling of each device of a magnetic disc device 10 is finished, a servo writer 20 is set to write the servo information on a servo face 5. A servo write circuit 17 is connected electrically by using a pin 19 provided between a servo head 11 and a servo control circuit 15 at first. A voice coil motor driving circuit 18 is connected to a voice coil motor 14 at the same time. The servo information is written while the servo head 11 is moved by the voice coil motor drive circuit 18. When the write of the servo information is finished, the servo write circuit 17 and the driving circuit 18 are removed and the disc device 10 is assembled finally. Since the reading of the servo information is controlled by the servo head 11, the azimuth angle is not different and correct position control is attained. |
