PURPOSE:To simply obtain at a low cost a rubber bushing used for installation of a steering column in a vehicle, the rubber bushing having such characteristics that the rigidity thereof is low in the axial direction, but is high in the longitudinal and laterial directions. CONSTITUTION:A rubber member 28 disposed therein with a metallic plate-like reinforcing member 30 which is readially spiral, is secured between the concentrical inner sleeve 24 and outer sleeve 26 of a rubber bushing 14. Accordingly, the reinforcing member 30 is deformable in the axial direction with no resistance, but may only have a resistance in deformation in the radial direction. |
