PURPOSE:To perform a proper jam discrimination, to prevent malfunction and to perform stable control, and to obtain an invariably excellent image by deciding an improper state repeatedly on the basis of a signal input from an formation detecting means to a CPU during image formation. CONSTITUTION:Probe signals (O1-O3) outputted from the microprocessor (CPU) are inputted to a matrix circuit under the control of a program for sequence control stored in ROMs of the CPU to lead signals out of various detecting elements, microswitches, etc., and they are inputted to I1, I2, I4, and I8 and processed to output various driving signals from O1-O15. When jam removal is not performed, a signal JMAK is checked repeatedly in addition to PEP (paper empty signal), etc., and if a jam is detected, a fixing heater is turned off and a main motor stops, but a platen is stopped where the platen returns to its home position. Consequently, a proper jam discrimination is made and malfunction is prevented. |
