PURPOSE:To supplement a supplementary developer by providing an elastic member operating projection which abuts on a lever-shaped elastic member and displaces this elastic member intermittently on the internal wall of a supplementry developer storage container. CONSTITUTION:A toner supplementing mechanism rotates a toner bottle 50 during supplementing operation so as to improve the flowability of supplementary toner in the toner bottle 50. Further, a coil spring 110 is provided in the toner bottle 50 in order to prevent toner blocking, and a measuring means which specifies accurately the amount of supplementary toner sent out of the toner bottle 50 through a mouth part 51 is also added. Further, a bottle base 60, support ring 65, measuring plate 76, and conveying means 85 which conveys the supplementary tonermeasured and fallen through said members into a developing device 5 in a horizontal direction are provided. |
