PURPOSE:To improve engine brake performance by changing the degree of enlargement of torque transmission ratio according to a car velocity in enlarging a torque transmission ratio when an engine brake is put on by fully closing a throttle. CONSTITUTION:A control device is provided with an engine brake control means 18 which is adapted to detect the engine brake condition and change a signal fluid working upon a ratio control valve 14 in such a manner as to enlarge torque transmission ratio according to a car velocity. Thus, the degree of enlarging a torque transmission ratio can be changed according to a car velocity, so that when a car velocity is large, large engine braking force can be obtained, and when a car velocity is small, a small engine braking force can be obtained to improve engine brake performance. |
