PURPOSE:To easily remove crystal produced on the surface of an amorphous photosensitive member and improve serviceability by pressing a cleaning blade while a reversible photosensitive member is in a reversing state. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive member having the amorphous photosensitive body surface, e.g. drum 2 is driven to rotate in both normal (arrow A) and reverse (arrow B) directions through a reverse driving means 3 consisting of, for example, a main motor, electromagnetic clutch, and gear system. A blank exposure lamp 5 after passing through an electrifier 4 removes surface charges at a no-copy part on the drum surface exposed with reflected light from an original to prevent excessive toner from sticking. A developing device 6 is equipped with a developing cylinder 6a which supplies toner to an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the drum 2. A transfer electrifier 7 transfers toner on the drum surface to transfer paper. An electrifier 8 removes charges of the drum 2 after the transfer and untransferred toner. A cleaner 9 has a blade 9a for scraping residual toner off the surface of the drum 2. |
