PURPOSE:To prevent a scatter of a leaking developer and circumferential contamination due to the scatter through simple constitution by arranging a developer collecting container part at the developer leaking side of a device gap pat in a dry development type cartridge small sized electrophotographic copying machine. CONSTITUTION:The conduit-shaped leaking developer receiving container 32 is arranged at the developer leaking side of the device gap part (b) under a developing sleeve 24 in the lengthwise direction of the gap part, and the container contains a foamed member 21. The foamed member 21 is open-cell sponge, ''Everlight Scot'', felt having relatively low density, etc., and the developer leaking out of the gap part (b) falls on the foamed member 21 and is deposited; and the developer enters pores or gap cell texture of the foamed member 21 on penetration basis by gravitation, device oscillation, etc., and is caught and held restrained, thereby preventing the leaking developer from scattering sufficiently. |
