PURPOSE:To increase a cooling effect in a pat bearing during operation and to prevent the occurrence of the protuberance phenomenon of the slide surface of a white metal, by a method wherein cooling holes are formed in the backing metal part of a pat bearing, and heat control pipes are respectively installed in the cooling holes. CONSTITUTION:Cooling holes 9 are formed only in 3 pats on the lower half of a pat bearing, and heat control pipes 10 are respectively installed in the cooling holes 9 formed in the 3 pats. A material having excellent heat conductivity is used for the heat control pipe 10, and gas, such as front gas, having high cooling action is sealed in the pipe 10, Fins 12 are formed on the forward end of the pipe 10, and cooling liquid 15 is injected to the fins 12 to cool the pat. This causes a cooling effect on the whole bearing to be increased about 2 times, a white metal to be protruded on the slide surface to protect against partial contact and prevent the generation of an abnormal temperature. |
