PURPOSE:To observe directly a sintering process and to grasp said process of a sintered ore with high precision by inserting a fiberscope into a sintered ore raw material at the time of manufacturing sintered ore. CONSTITUTION:One end part 4a of the fiberscope 4 is inserted into an inner part 2 of the sintered ore raw material, and another end part 4b is connected to a television camera 5. The sintering process is observed by a monitor television 6 through the fiberscope 4, and the process is recorded by a videorecorder 10. At this time, the part 4a of the fiberscope 4 is contained in a quartz tube 7 and a stainless steel pipe 8 to protect said part 4a, and a light source 9 is provided for the observation even at the time of low temp. By observing directly the sintering process, variation in shapes of pseudoparticles, drying rate due to color variation of particle surfaces, particle movements to lower layer from upper layer, cokes combustion and powder ores melting can be grasped, and the sintering can be operated under the most suitable state. |
