PURPOSE:To provide a compacted device by installing an injection pump at the side of the upper half of cylinder block and a governor drive mechanism at the side of its lower half, and by separating a governor lever from the cylinder block more and more as going up. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pump 15 is installed at the side of the upper half 1b of a cylinder block 1 while a governor drive mechanism 95 at the side of its lower half 1, and a govenor level 70 connecting the governor drive mechanism 95 with a pin on a control rack of a pump 15 is inclined in the direction as apart from the cylinder block 1 more and more as going up. This can suppress the axial dimension of the device as well as lessen the amount of overhang to the side of the cylinder block, which leads to compaction of the device. |
