PURPOSE:To provide a hair tonic having extremely remarkable effect to promote the growth of hair, by extracting Ganoderma lucidum with a solvent selected from 4-5C alcohols, hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers and esters, and using the extract as a component. CONSTITUTION:Ganoderma lucidum belonging to Basidiomycetes, Polyporaceae family, Fomes genus is extracted with at least one solvent selected from 4-5C alcohols, hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers and esters, and the extract liquid or its dried product is added to a hair dressing such as hair tonic in an amount of 0.01-10wt%, preferably 0.1-5wt% based on the whole composition in terms of solid. The cosmetic exhibits extremely high hair tonic effect when applied to the skin of man and animal, and is safe to human body, free of skin irritation, and preservable stably for a long period. |
