PURPOSE:To enhance safety through a light interceptor between the motorman's compartment and passengers' room of a train or the like, by disposing plural light interception plates on the window between the motorman's compartment and the passengers' room to extend almost perpendicularly to the surfaces of the window to intercept rays of light below a predetermined angle of incidence. CONSTITUTION:Plural strip-shaped light interception plates 18 whose length is almost equal to or slightly larger than the height of the partition window 15 between a motorman's compartment 12 are passengers' room 13 are disposed on the window in the motorman's compartment so that the plates vertically extend at prescribed intervals perpendicularly to the surface of the window. The width lof the light interception plates 18 and the intervals (d) between them are so set that the angle theta between the window and the straight line extending on the front edge (a) of the interception plate and the rear edge (b) of the next one is larger than the angle of reflection of rays of light which would pass through the window, reflect on a front window 14 and converge on the eye 16a of the motorman. The rays of light are thus prevented from entering into the eye of the motorman. As a result, safety is enhanced. |
