PURPOSE:To enable a worn bush or shaft to be further used for along time, by a method wherein the bushes are axially moved in a condition, in which the shaft is inserted in a shaft hole, to reduce and adjust an increased gap between the bush and the shaft. CONSTITUTION:A spherical expansion member 13A of a shaft 13 is inserted into a shaft hole 12, a pair of bushes 14 are pressed in the shaft hole 12, and male screws 15A of retainer rings 15 are respectively screwed in female screws 12A of the shaft hole 12. The bushes 14 are pushed in the direction of a smooth surface 12B, a gap between the spherical expansion part 13A of a shaft 13 and a curved slide surface 14A of the bush 14 is adjusted so as to support the spherical expansion part in a given position in the shaft hole 12 in a condition to maintain a proper fine gap e4, and this causes a shaft 13 to be mounted in a housing 11. When the bush 14 and the shaft 13 are worn, a pair of the bushes 14 are moved in the direction of the center of the shaft through the screwing of the retainer rings 15 on both sides to cause the bushes 14 to approach each other, and this enables a gap e6 between the bush 14 and the shaft 13 to be restored to the original gap e4. |
