PURPOSE:To prevent an overrich state of fuel due to bubbles generated in a float chamber at high loaded operation, by arranging a passage, communicated to the float chamber of a carburetor, to be opened to the wall surface of an intake pipe in its part opened by a sliding piston at the high loaded operation. CONSTITUTION:A wall surface, on which a sliding piston 8 of a variable Venturi carburetor 2 is slided, in an intake passage provides an opening 14b in a part facing to the intake passage at high loaded operation when the sliding piston is lifted, and the opening 14b is communicated with an opening 14a in the upper end of a float chamber 3 by a passage 14. In this way, the float chamber heats its inside to a high temperature to generate a bubble of gasoline at the high loaded operation, and its pressure extrudes fuel easily providing an overrich state, but here the sliding piston 8 is sufficiently lifted, causing the opening 14b to be opened to an intake pipe. In consequence, the pressure never extrudes the fuel by sucking the bubble, generated in the float chamber, to an engine through the passage 14. |
