<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate trouble in operating the titled equipment in case of fault occurrence and to prevent a device from damaging by controlling cooling fans except faulty cooling fans to full-speed rotation when the number of the faulty fans is equal to or less than a specific value and powering off the device entirely when the number of the faulty fans is larger than the specific value. CONSTITUTION:The detection signal of a temperature detection sensor 10 is supplied to a rotating speed control circuit 12 through a monitor circuit 11 in normal operation to control the rotating speed of cooling fans 2, so that proper air ventilation is carried out in the device. If an abnormality detecting circuit 4 detects the fault of fans 2, a fault discriminating circuit 41 the number of fans where the fault occurs and displays an alarm for cooling fan abnormality on a monitor board 5 when the number is the specific number. At the same time, the circuit 12 powers off the faulty fans and controls the remaining fans 2 to full-speed rotation to maintain necessary ventilation ability. When the circuit 41 decides that a fault exceeds the specific number, a power-off signal is sent out to a power source control circuit 7 through a delay circuit 6 and the whole device is powered off a specific time, so that device functions stop.</p> |
