PURPOSE:To enable color photographic processing with low toxicity at a high bleaching speed by using a ferric ion complex of a persulfate as a bleaching agent and adding a specified compound to a bleaching bath, a bleach-fix bath or the preceding bath. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by the formula as a bleaching accelerator is added to a bleaching bath, a bleach-fix bath or the preceding bath by 1X10<-5>-1mol per 1l processing soln. a bleaching agent having weak bleaching power such as a ferric ion complex is contained in the processing soln. The ferric ion complex consists of a ferric ion and a chelating agent such as aminopolycarboxylic acid. The amount of the bleaching agent is 0.1-2mol per 1l bleaching soln., and the preferred pH of the bleaching soln. is 3.0-8.0. The compound represented by the formula is very effective in accelerating bleaching, so satisfactory desilvering can be attained in a short time even when the bleaching agent having weak bleaching power is used.
