1,167,474. Press ejector. M. VON BUSHE, and T. ALTENBRACHT, [trading as TH. KIESERLING & ALBRECHT]. 24 May, 1968 [9 Nov., 1967], No. 25002/68. Heading B3P. Apparatus for use in presses, particularly cold impact extruders, comprises an ejector 13 guided in a die and driven by a tension rod 8 of variable length, one end of the rod being connected by connecting links to the ejector and the other end of the rod being linked to a pressure roller 7 which contacts a driven control cam 3, in which the connecting links by which the ejector is connected to the tension rod are formed by two bell-crank levers 15, 20, one of which 20 is connected by a first link 22 to the ejector and by a second link 18 to the other lever 15 such that in the starting position the first link is in a substantially vertical position and the longitudinal axes of the second link 18 and of the associated arm of the other lever 15 form a minimum angle of 150 degrees. The ejector 13 is preferably threadedly engageable at 13c with a slide 25 connected to the first link 22 and is coupled to a sleeve (28) (Fig. 3, not shown) through a multi-tooth member 26, the sleeve being rotatable but axially non-displaceable within a guide 27. The sleeve has a worm gear (29) and worm (30) and is rotatable in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction to raise or lower the ejector with respect to the die. The stroke of the ejector is altered by adjusting the length of the tension rod 8. |
