The process is intended for closing filled boxes (1) having one open end provided with closure flaps (3-6) forming extensions of the box walls and is of the type in which two flaps (4,6) on opposite sides are folded into the closed position whilst applying an adhesive whereupon the other two flaps (3,5) are folded inwards and pressure is applied. The adhesive is applied on the insides of the latter flaps (3,5) before folding them inwards. It may be applied by spraying it on (11-13). The open box end may be the bottom end, support means (14) being used to retain the contents. The support means may be a flat plate held below the first closed flaps (4,6) and the second flaps (3,5) may be partly closed after applying the adhesive and the support then withdrawn. |
